Scope
- Preparation of columns, beams, trusses, purlins and connection parts to project and fabrication drawings
- Cutting, drilling, edge preparation, fit-up and welded fabrication
- Marking, packing and dispatch preparation in the planned erection sequence
Process
- Project documents, fabrication drawings and the work scope are reviewed.
- Material and cutting lists are prepared and the production sequence is planned.
- Parts are cut, drilled, fitted and joined to the approved drawings.
- Dimensional and visible fabrication checks are completed.
- Members are marked and prepared for dispatch.
Quality and standards
Material, dimensional, surface and weld checks are planned against the project specification and approved fabrication drawings. The inspection scope and records are defined for the technical requirements of each contract.
