Scope
- Receipt, sorting and preparation of steel members in the erection sequence
- Grid and level checks, lifting coordination and temporary bracing
- Completion of bolted and welded site connections to the project details
Process
- Site access, work areas, grid lines and foundation levels are checked.
- Erection and lifting sequences are coordinated with the relevant teams.
- Members are positioned, temporarily secured and aligned.
- Permanent bolted or welded connections are completed.
- Final grid, level, plumb and connection checks are carried out.
Quality and standards
Erection checks follow the approved design, connection details and site plan. Temporary stability, the lifting area and coordination between trades are considered at every stage of erection.
Deliverables
- Steel frame erected to the project grids and levels
- Completed site connections and removed temporary members
- Erection inspection records when included in the work scope
